Loving On the Surface

When two people meet and spend time with one another they seem to start to get to know each other’s likes and dislikes.  Most of the time it’s not a quick process to the whole dating game.

News flash you all!! Somebody’s holding out! LOL!! Now let me be clear, not every relationship will be like that.  When the two people get comfortable and learn to trust, you might start to see them for who they are.  Maybe!  We might like what is being revealed, and we may not like what is being revealed.  Well instead of moving on, some get a wild notion that maybe that person will change.  Uhm! Sometimes we are in denial, and keep giving them time to get it together.  Hey, you deserve to be loved on a deeper level.  Stop settling for AN ON THE SURFACE KIND OF LOVE.  Unless there’s a divine intervention, good luck with that!  We can’t change anyone into whom we want them to be.  Most of the time we are leaving a higher power out of the mix.  Couples tend to be uncomfortable bringing up God.  For some folks, it’s like pulling teeth.  Most of the time it’s fear of running the person off.  Well, it’s possible.  It’s better to part the waters early in the relationship than during a marriage.

Trouble is all around us, it will not stop because you think you’ve found your boo thang, your sweetie pie, your BAE!! If you don’t have God as your go-to always, through good or bad times, what will you have to depend on to bring both of you through trials? Good looks? Sex? Belove, it will take more than that.  Having a relationship can be a beautiful experience and sometimes fun.  It should not be like a JOB! Companionship is an awesome experience.   Take your time with each other, have discussions about Christianity, family, finances.  Laugh a lot and be adventurous. Enjoy one another God bless!
