A Mother’s Love, give it your best

When we become first-time Mothers, most moms worry if they are going to be able to pull it off.  Its normal to worry if we are going to have healthy, normal babies or if we will carry to full term.  It’s part of entering into motherhood.  We don’t want to think about the possibilities of complications.  Especially, if you are a young mother.  I’ve been a single mother before; I remember praying throughout the entire pregnancy.  I understood in my early teens about the power of prayer.  Not only prayed, but I read to him and talked to him.  His dad would stop by our home to check on me after class, he would talk to him and wake him up. We both were college students at the time.  I was one determined young mother to do all I could to give our child a chance with this thing called life.  Some young mothers may feel overwhelmed, due to their situation.  We as mothers have to do the best we can.  I have to honor my own mother.  We had an awesome and blessed Mother.  Her examples were impeccable.  Hard worker, strong, God-fearing, good wife, the best mom, and grandmother.  My mother’s wisdom helped me through my pregnancy.  I was so blessed to have had her around.   My situation was rare according to what others said.   My son’s dad, which became my husband few years later, we were both determined to give our child the best of us.

A Mother’s love is powerful.  It’s like you change so fast!  One of my nieces mentioned recently, she’s learned to pray more and be more protective.  Some mothers go through lots of changes, not just with our bodies, but our mental stability as well.  Motherhood is beautiful and a blessing, but a huge responsibility.  A mother is more nurturing, our patience usually is different from the dad’s.  We as mothers have to make sure we try to be the best for ourselves first, then we can be what we need to be for our babies.  If you feel you’re not where you need to be, reach out for help. It’s okay!  Your child or children needs you to be healthy mentally, physically, and to be strong.

A Virtuous Woman
